Last Friday, we had the pleasure of inaugurating the Halle à marée départementale de Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, in the presence of :
- Stéphane BREDIN, Prefect of Calvados
- Jean-Léonce DUPONT, President of the Calvados Department
- Manuel LE ROUX, President of the CCI Caen Normandie
This facility, managed by Ports du Calvados, completed its work this winter. Under the supervision of the CCI Caen Normandie and financed by the Département du Calvados, the work involved refurbishing the roof and launching the Halle à marée into a new energy era, with the installation of over 1,000m² of solar panels.
This operation brings the Halle à marée into the 21st century by making this strategic tool, used by several hundred fishermen and fishmongers every year, more thermally efficient and environmentally responsible.
We would like to thank all those involved in this exemplary project for the benefit of fishermen, fishmongers and the sustainable, responsible development of this sector.
